I’m late on this one.

For today’s run, I finally put on KPop Demon Hunters, and honestly, I’m glad I waited.

Sometimes the hype train overshoots. This time, it didn’t.

Between the awards, the talk show rounds, and just how embedded this thing seems to be in the culture right now, it really built up a presence. And somehow, it still lived up to it. I guess sometimes the internet gets it right. “The internet loves this and the internet is never wrong,” right?

From a cardio standpoint, this was a perfect pick.

The energy is relentless in the best way. The pacing, the music, the visuals, it all keeps moving, and that momentum carries straight into the run.

And the mid-credits BTS sequence with the live performers in the recording studio was a sincere moment of delight. It’s one thing to hear the performances, but getting a glimpse of the people behind them added a layer that just felt… real in a really satisfying way.

On the animation side, Sony Pictures Animation absolutely nailed it again. Between this and the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse / Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse run, I’m just enjoying whatever ride they’re on right now.

I get the love for this film. And I got a few miles.
